How animals get to the shelters of our fund

Several years ago BIM was helping practically ALL the animals regardless of their health condition. The animals taken by the Funs are not euthanized, they live their natural lives. With the adoption rate being much lower than the rate of acceptance of new animals, the number of animals in the shelters increased from 150 to more than 2500, and the number of shelters grew from 1 to 5.

It is extremely difficult to provide a decent living for such a number of animals.

Therefore today BIM helps only the animals which will die without veterinarian help. People who contact us asking to help such animals in the street are encouraged to take part in helping such animals, rather than forget about then immediately after we take them over.

If you think that some day you might meet an animal which will need your help, or you have already met it and you are looking for a shelter which will accept it, we have a simple process. You can find a home for any animal from our shelter, and a place will become available for a new animal.

FIRST YOU ARE TO FIND A HOME FOR ANY ANIMAL FROM THE SHELTER, MAKING SPACE AVAILABLE, AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER ADOPTION OF THE ANIMAL OF THE SHLETER, THE ANIMAL FOR ACCOMMODACTION OF WHICH YOU APPLIED WILL BE ACCEPTED BY THE SHELTER.

We encourage you not to wait for the moment when meet an animal in the street needing help and you will have no place to take it to. You are most welcome to start looking for homes for our animals – one, two-as many as you wish - already now. And you will always be sure that if you meet an animal needing help, our shelter will accept it.

How to look for homes for the animals of the shelters
You should come to any of our shelters, choose animals for which you would like to find homes (from among the animals for which no such activities have been initiated) and place advertisements for them in newspapers and on the internet with your telephone number. You will interview the potential owners asking them any questions you might think necessary, in order to understand whether they can be regarded as potential reliable owners. If people deserve trust, you will give them the address of the shelter in which the animal lives. From this moment the rules of adoption come into effect. As soon as the animal is adopted and taken home, we are ready to accept a new homeless animal from you.
